Good Grief. It's over a year since I did anything on this blog! Shame on me. Then I was eagerly awaiting the release of War Trail, the fantasy novel I co-wrote with Terri Beckett. Later on in 2008 I had a solo novel released - Argent Dreaming - from Cerridwen Press at www.jasminejade.com. It's a paranormal mystery set in Glastonbury, one of the most evocative places in the UK.
I love this cover design. It's by the same artist who did the covers for Tribute Trail and War Trail, the very talented Croco.
I've got quite a few writing projects on the go at the moment, some of them written under another name as they are not mainstream, and I think I have a log-jam in my brain. But I am doing my damnedest to stick to some kind of writing schedule around the house chores and gardening chores.
One of the things that threw me off-plan was the sudden and totally unexpected illness of a much-loved pet. Bracken, one of the three family dogs, had to be put to sleep following an ultrasound at the vets that discovered a large and inoperable tumour on his spleen. He hadn't reached his seventh birthday, and was one of the most loving, happy dogs I've ever known. The whole family was distraught, especially my grandsons. But we have some wonderful memories of him, and they helped us all come to terms.
